Places to Visit & Things to Do
The area has a choice of castles to visit, including Conwy and Penrhyn just 5 minutes down the a55. Other castles are at Beaumaris, criccieth, Caernarfon, Harlech and dolwyddelan, all in easy reach.
North wales is well known for its steam railways, with the most famous one being The Snowdon Mountain Railway which runs up to the peak of the mountain from llanberis. Other railways are the Ffestiniog railway, running from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog.
